About Laura

Who am I?

I'm Laura, though my favourite people call me Lauzy.

I'm Geelong born and bred and live locally with my Husband Tony, daughter Sienna and furkids Pickle the pug and Spud the Swedish Vallhund.

​

I've been a celebrant for 5 years now and its been a dream. I often get asked why I became a celebrant and the root of the answer is I'm an utter love story enthusiast. I love knowing how people met and fell in love and the little moments that make up their relationships. 

​

And I get to ask all those fun questions when creating a ceremony that truly reflects that love.

​

I had a few close friends and family get engaged all at one time and that was a real catalyst for me becoming a celebrant - we joke it was a "Joey Tribiani" Moment where I got registered to marry them. 

​

And they were my first ceremonies I was blessed to preform and from that moment on I was hooked!

​

I'm also 1/8 of the Girl Gang - Geelong Celebrant Collective. These 7 women have become such amazing friends and a irreplaceable support system as we navigate the crazy wedding industry. 

​

When I'm not marrying people I also work as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse - a job I have adored for 10 years. 

​

So as you can imagine when I get to combine weddings and pets - I am in my element.

​

Soul food for me is wine with my best friends, good food and making memories with my little family.
